These terms cover your use of Indies Club, the site and the founder tools behind it. By creating an account you agree to them.
Indies Club is operated by VP Technology Ltda (CNPJ 30.286.117/0001-44), São Paulo, Brazil.
Your account
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. Keep your sign-in credentials to yourself; what happens under your account is your responsibility. One person, one account.
Connecting Stripe
Verifying a startup means giving us a restricted Stripe key with read access to that account. You confirm that you are entitled to share that account's figures, that the account belongs to the startup you attach it to, and that you will not connect an account you do not control. We only read; we never move money, create charges, or change anything in your Stripe account beyond the webhook that keeps figures current. You can disconnect at any time, which deletes the key and everything read with it.
What we publish
We publish what Stripe reports, converted to US dollars at the rates we hold, and we say when it was last read. We do not audit the underlying accounts and we cannot guarantee that a figure reflects a business's full revenue or its profitability. Rankings and totals are derived from those figures and change as they change.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you add: names, descriptions, logos, and profile details. You give us a licence to display it on the site and in previews of the site, for as long as it is on the site. Do not add content you have no right to use, or content that is misleading, unlawful, or abusive.
Advertising
Indies Club sells banner placements on the site. Pricing and duration are agreed with us before a placement goes live — for example, $400 for one month — and payment is required before it starts. We may refuse or remove any ad, including one already paid for, that is misleading, unlawful, or unrelated to software or building a business, and we refund the unused portion when we do that. Once a placement has started running it is non-refundable other than under that rule. The "Your content" section above applies to an ad the same way it applies to a startup listing.
Acceptable use
Do not scrape the site at a rate that burdens it, attempt to access other founders' private data, create fake startups or accounts, or interfere with the service. We may remove content or close accounts that break these terms.
Availability and liability
The service is provided as is. We aim to keep it running and accurate but do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or from reliance on any figure published on it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. Any dispute arising from them or from your use of the site is settled by the courts of São Paulo, Brazil, unless the law where you live gives you the right to a different forum.
Changes and ending
We may change these terms; the date above tells you when. Material changes are announced on the site. You can delete your account whenever you like, and we may suspend or end accounts that break these terms.
